A big thick cable (most certainly from the mining era) drops into the head of this canyon - thus the name. A very pleasant canyon cutting through the Moroni Slopes.

Actually a series of holes in the Moroni Slopes eventually dropping out into the Muddy.

Remnants of the uranium mining boom are scattered about this area; old drill sites, core samples, wooden structures, and rusted pipe used to bring water up on the reef from the Muddy.
