This website is neither a guide nor a substitute for professional canyoneering instruction. It is simply a compilation of reports of our experiences descending technical slot canyons. Your experiences may vary. What we consider a downclimb, you might consider a rappel, and vice versa. There are no warranties expressed or implied as to the accuracy of any of the information on this site. By using any material on this site to plan your own descent, you are assuming all liability and risk for your adventure.

Furthermore, be aware that conditions change regularly. Flash floods scour out canyons, removing anchors that were present for previous descent parties. Potholes dry up and produce inescapable keepers. Unclimbable logjams appear and block canyons completely. We always go prepared for these unforseeable circumstances. The canyons listed on this website can be difficult, dangerous, and potentially fatal to the unprepared or inexperienced. We don't recommend that anyone go there at all. Attempting to descend these canyons could easily result in injury or death.

We do recommend that you seek qualified instruction from a reputable canyoneering school. Go to our links section to view a list of canyoneering schools and guide services. They are all inexpensive and well worth the money spent.
